Fans are all saying the same thing after Reese Witherspoon shared a Christmas photo with her lookalike daughter, Ava Phillippe.
On Sunday (December 21), the Legally Blonde star, 47, shared a sweet snap that featured her 24-year-old daughter, Ava Phillippe.
The two flash identical smiles at the camera, leaving people stunned by just how alike they look.
"Woah I had to double take bc I didn’t know which one was you! So beautiful - both of you," one user reacted, while another commented: "My goodness, you ladies are twins!"
A third user quipped: "Reese Witherspoons kid looks more like Reese Witherspoon than Reese Witherspoon looked when Reese Witherspoon was a young Reese Witherspoon!"
Their Paris trip sparked the same reaction earlier this year
Last January, Reese and Ava set social media ablaze once again during a trip to Paris Fashion Week.
The actress shared a carousel of snaps with her 30.3 million Instagram followers, capturing chic café moments and gallery visits with Ava in tow.
In one picture, the two are dressed in matching black outfits while sipping drinks at a Parisian café. Another shows them taking in artwork, while a third captures Ava strolling through a dimly lit street in the French capital.
Fans were more focused on the pair’s resemblance than their fashionable adventures.
"Your daughter is your clone and it’s kind of unfair for the rest of society," one person shared.
"It’s giving TWINS!!!!!” one person exclaimed. Another said: “I mean, I can tell who Reese is... Yet I can't spot the difference.”
Reese says she and Ava don’t really see it
Despite the internet’s obsession with their likeness, the Big Little Lies star has said she doesn’t think they look all that similar. “You think so? You see it? [Ava] and I don’t see it that much,” she said on Today in 2022.
And in a 2017 interview with Vanity Fair, the actress elaborated: “She’s a beautiful person inside and out. She’s just a good soul.”
But when asked how her daughter feels about the comparisons, Witherspoon admitted, “I’m just ‘Mom’ to her. We’re happy to share this wonderful experience.”
“I really have a rich, personal relationship with my daughter,” she added. “I have a really great career, and it’s nice to be able to share it with my kids.”
As for whether Ava plans to follow in her parents’ Hollywood footsteps, the actress said: “She’s still in school so she has a lot of time to think about what she wants to do. I want for her whatever she wants for herself.”
